Pizzatilla (Thin-crust Pizza)

Single-portion recipe (ready in 25 minutes)

Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat 7.5’’ Mejicano tortilla (for big appetites, use 10’’ tortilla)
  • Ready-made pizza sauce (3 tablespoons)
  • 6 slices of pepperoni
  • 3 thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 30 grams of grated mozzarella
  • 20 grams of finely chopped green bell pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Basil and pepper

Preparation

Lightly coat the tortilla with olive oil on both sides; place on a 12 ‘’ baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the tortilla with a tablespoon. Lightly sprinkle the sauce with basil and pepper. Add, in this order: pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Preheat oven to 350F. Bake for 15 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

To serve

For a complete meal, accompany with your favourite salad. To serve as a snack or entrée, cut into triangles, and allow the pizzatilla to cool; accompany with olives and raw veggies
